Adult Yoga Classes
Therapeutic Restorative Yoga focuses mainly on the quality of Asanas (postures) and deep breathing techniques, with a meditative and spiritual approach. Gentle yoga classes are practiced in a serene and relaxing environment, and combine a series of flowing postures with rhythmic breathing. All levels welcome. No experience is necessary; all you need is an open mind.
Yoga for Beginners introduces basic yoga poses and breathing techniques to relax, stretch and strengthen the body. Class will be taught at a comfortable pace in a supportive environment. Alignment cues will be given and the use of props will be encouraged to assist each students’ practice and build body awareness.
Mixed Flow Vinyasa focuses mainly on Asanas (postures) and breath work, with a meditative approach. Asanas bring health and energy to body and mind. This class combines a series of flowing postures with rhythmic breathing. The more postures one can master, the better the basis for developing inner meditation techniques. Open Flow yoga combines a series of flowing postures with rhythmic breathing and focusing on alignment of each posture. This style of yoga has its roots in Hatha and Vinyasa. The flow is developed to build heat in the muscles which in turn helps the joints and muscles open while the breath work brings energy to the body and the mind.
